Mommy Moments by Daphine Glenn Robinson is a sure-fire pick me up of a book. It’s a very short and easy read. If you’re a mom, you will instantly recognize one or two, okay probably all of the scenarios. There is universality in the randomness of some of the things that young children do or say. If you don’t have small children at home, this book might help calm down the laser angry glares of annoyance that many a flustered mom gets when their normally angelic baby shows out. She doesn’t know why this usually occurs in public. Lol. After reading this book, the next time you see an outburst, you’ll probably muster up a sympathetic smile. This book would also be a great gift for wedding shower baskets and the like. Moms-to-be will at least have an idea of what to expect. This book was a very personal book that would touch the heart of any mom. Robinson shares in this book really cute, sweet and touching stories about her children. Reading this made me as a mom reminiscence on special times with my daughter. A must read for any mom. It will warm your heart. This book would be a great gift for any occasion. Great job!!!
Just by reading the title, I could tell 'MOMMY MOMENTS' was going to be a good read. It exceeded my expectations. I find myself reading this over and over because whether or not you are a Mother, Father, Uncle, Aunt, or Grandparent, something in this book is going to make you laugh or smile. The wonderful world of children is like no other. We all know there is never a dull moment with children and Daphine succeeds in taking us for a fun ride throughout her journey. At the same time, she makes us think about the journey our children have us on. So sit back, relax, and get ready to smile, chuckle, and exclaim more than once, "I know how she feels!" I'm constantly on the look out for MOMMY MOMENTS part 2. That would be a treat!
This book was just what I needed after a long day of taking care of my children. I really appreciated the author's honesty.
The stories are hilarious, but much too few. The author has a nice way of phrasing so you hear the love and desperation.
Well, it was only 99cents but I expected more. I read this in about 20 mintues one night after my daughter went to bed. It was funny. But I thought it'd be longer. The book was about funny momments a mother experienced when you two (now grown) children were under the age of 7. As a mother of a 3 year old, I could relate and did chuckle out loud a few times but again, it just wasn't long enough. I suggest skipping it and applying this 99cents toward a different book.
Enjoyed reading, very short, more like a pamphlet. Will read more by Daphine. Husband wasn't included except when he was changing the light bulb in the garage and 'watching the kids', we've all been there.
This is an excellent book about the joys of motherhood and parenting. From the first page, I could tell this would be a delightful read. As a mother of five, I could relate to the humor and special moments that children create. An enjoyable read. It will have you smiling with fond memories of your own children's development and your own personal ups and downs as a mother. I definitely recommend.
